The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the 2023 National Eligibility Cumulative Entrance Test or NEET-UG test date at neet.nta.nic.in. The NTA has published the examination calendar, which includes exam date. According to official confirmation, the NEET 2023 exam date is May 7th. The online registration starts from 6th March, 2023 and last date is 6th April, 2023.
NEET is mandatory entrance exam for admission to MBBS course in India medical colleges and abroad universities.

Eligibility Criteria of NEET UG 2023

Nationality– Candidates who are Indian nationals, NRIs, OCIs, PIOs, or Foreign Nationals are eligible to apply. The candidates from J&K and Ladakh UTs may apply for the 15% All India Quota exclusively on a self-declaration basis.
Age– The age of the candidates must be 17 years during the admission or before 31st December, of the admission year.
Qualification – Candidates must hold a 12th grade certificate or equivalent from a recognized board, with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English as core subjects. The class 12th percentage needed for the NEET 2023 exam is different for each category. UR – 50%/OBC/ SC/ ST – 40%/PWD – 45%.
Number of attempts– there is no limit for NEET. Candidates can apply as many times as they wish.
Appearing candidates– The candidates appearing in the 12th class are also eligible for NEET examination 2023.
NEET 2023 Application Form
The application form and information brochure is available by the NTA. However, the NEET application starts from 6th March, 2023. Candidates who wish to apply for the examination can do so by 6th April, 2023.
To register for NEET 2023, candidates must complete five steps: registration, filling out the NEET application form 2023, uploading photos, paying the application fee, and printing the application form.
NEET 2023 Application Fee
The applicants can pay the application fee via Debit card/Credit card/UPI or Net banking. Additionally,
- Candidates of general category would be required to pay Rs 1600/-.
- General-EWS/OBC-NCL candidates will pay Rs 1500/-.
- Candidates from the SC/ST/PWD/Transgender categories will be charged Rs 900/-.
- The application cost for candidates applying from outside India is Rs 8500/-. the candidates will also have to pay GST charges.
How to Apply for NEET 2023
Candidates must complete the following in order to apply for NEET:
Step 1: Candidates must first register online.
Step 2: After completing the registration process, the login information will be provided to the registered email address and mobile number. Candidates must log in and complete the NEET application form using these details.
Step 3: Candidates must fill up the NEET Application form with all of their personal, educational, and contact information.
Step 4: Also, in the NEET online application form, upload documents such as a photograph and signature.
Step 5: Finally, pay the National Testing Agency’s application cost and obtain a printout of the completed application.
NEET 2023 Correction Window
Correction of NEET (UG) applications will begin in the third week of January 2023. Candidates could change any data and exam city selections on the application form.
However, some details cannot be updated in the NEET correction window, including the registered mobile number and email address. To make a change and use the NEET 2023 correction window, candidates must NEET log in by entering their application number and password.
NEET Exam Pattern
The following are the details concerning the NEET Exam pattern:
- The exam will be conducted in offline format (pen and paper-based).
- Number of Questions: There will be 200 questions, with 180 of them being obligatory. Candidates will be offered options in section B.
- Multiple Choice Questions will be included in the questions (MCQs).
- The exam would take 3 hours and 20 minutes to complete.
- The NEET 2023 question paper will be available in the following languages: English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Malayalam, Kannada, Marathi, Odia, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu, and Punjabi.
- Candidates will receive four points for each correct answer and one point for each incorrect response.

Syllabus of NEET 2023
The syllabus of NEET 2023 will be based on the course curriculum of 11th and 12th prescribed by the Medical Council of India.
NEET Admit Card
The admit card of NEET examination 2023 will be released in the last week of April 2023. Students can download their admit card by entering their Login credentials. The admit card will contain the details such as exam date, venue, reporting time, etc. The candidates should keep a printout of NEET Admit card for further use. The candidates will not be allowed to enter in the examination hall without Admit card.
NEET Results
The NEET Results will be announced in the 1st week of June 2023. It will be available online on the official website. The candidates are required to enter their Login details such as roll number and date of birth.
The results will be prepared Revised NEET Answer keys released by the authority. Candidates can obtain a hardcopy of their results after they have been declared. Most medical institutes in the country will use the NEET score to determine admission to UG programs.
NEET Answer Keys
The NTA will initially issue the provisional answer key, followed by the final answer set-by-set. If a candidate is dissatisfied with the answer, they can question the answer key. The NEET Answer key will be made available online in the third week of May 2023.
Candidates must pay a processing fee of Rs 1000 for each challenged question. The fee can be paid online by candidates. Candidates will be reimbursed for this cost if their challenge is judged to be true.
Cut-off 2023
The NEET cut off for several categories, including general, OBC, SC, and ST, will be announced. To be on the safe side, the projected cut off for the NEET exam would be around 640-650 marks.
The cut-off will be announced together with the results. It will be prepared based on a variety of parameters such as grade point average, exam difficulty level, rank, seat availability, and so on. Candidates will be admitted based on their ranking.
NEET Counselling 2023
The counseling will begin in the second week of June 2023. The NEET counselling will be conducted by the Government of India’s Directorate General of Health Services. There will be two rounds of counseling. Other rounds may be scheduled based on seat availability.
Candidates will be invited to the counselling procedure based on their merit. The NEET Counselling procedure for 15% All India Quota seats will be conducted online by the MCC of the Directorate General of Health Service (DGHS), whilst the counselling for 85% state quota seats will be managed by the state counselling committee.
